Teacher displays a digital map showing 4 famous buildings in Kuching.

  1. Teacher leads pupils on a virtual tour with the help of the map.

  5. Teacher reminds that most sentences are written in the form of past tense, and adjectives are often used in descriptive writings on buildings.

In groups, the pupils will be receiving a set of worksheet with 2 pictures, along with the outlines.

Grammar Focus: Mini Lesson
  1. Remind pupils to write their sentences in past tense form for descriptive sentences on buildings.
  2. Refresh the use of ‘in’, ‘by’ and adjectives (if needed).

Post writing

Teacher gives a situation where every pupil will be writing someone a letter by using all the descriptions in Appendix B.

Closure
( 2 minutes)

Teacher elicits some interesting places the students found in the texts by asking students to describe them in short sentences.

Teacher reminds the pupils that we should play our part in taking care of the interesting places for others e.g.: take nothing but pictures, leave nothing but footprints etc.
